How to remove location from a photo
Open Pixly's free Remove Photo Location in your browser and add your photos. The list shows which ones carry a GPS location, the camera and the date; click Clean photos and download clean copies. The picture itself is not changed. Free, no account — the photos never leave your device.

These are the real Remove Photo Location screens. Click a step to jump to it.

The three steps
- 01
Add your photos
Go to pixly.app/tools/remove-location-from-photo and drop one photo or many, or click Choose photos.
- 02
See what each photo carries
Each photo shows its hidden location, camera and date. Under What to remove, choose Everything, or Location only to keep the date and camera.
- 03
Clean and download
Click Clean photos. One photo downloads on its own, several as a zip. JPG, PNG and WebP keep exactly the same picture; iPhone HEIC photos are saved as JPG.
The steps on one page
Save it, print it or send it to your team.

When to remove the location
- Before sharing photos of a home that is not on the market yet.
- Before sending photos of your own home to anyone you do not know.
- Before posting to forums and marketplaces that keep the hidden data.
- Do the whole set at once — one photo with a location is enough to give the address away.
What to avoid
- Assuming every site strips it: some keep the location when a photo is shared as a file.
- Cleaning a copy and then sending the original by mistake.
- Screenshots as a workaround — they lower the quality.
