What size should Instagram photos be?

Instagram works at 1080 pixels wide: 1080 × 1080 for a square post, 1080 × 1350 for a portrait post (4:5, the shape that fills the most of the feed), 1080 × 566 for landscape, and 1080 × 1920 for Stories and Reels.

What is the difference between Crop and Fit?

Crop fills the whole frame and cuts off whatever does not fit — drag the photo to choose what stays. Fit keeps the entire photo and fills the empty space with a blurred copy of it or with white, so nothing in the room is lost.
