How to redesign a room with AI
Take a photo of the room, open Stage in Pixly, add the photo, pick a style and click Stage. About half a minute later you see the same room — your walls, windows and floor — furnished in the new style. Each try costs 1 credit, so you can compare a few looks before you buy anything.

The five steps
- 01
Open Stage
In Pixly, go to Photo AI and pick Stage under Rooms. The name comes from home staging: the same tool furnishes empty rooms and redesigns furnished ones.
- 02
Add a photo of your room
Stand in a corner, hold the phone at chest height and get as much of the floor and walls in as you can. Upload it, drag it in, paste it, or pick it from your library.
- 03
Pick a new look
Choose one of the styles shown, open Browse all 61 styles, or pick Describe your own and write what you have in mind — “warm and cosy, lots of wood, a reading corner”.
- 04
Click Stage
If you like, add a brief first: what the room is for, what to keep, what to change. The button shows the price: 1 credit. It usually takes 20–40 seconds.
- 05
Compare and save
The new design opens next to your photo. Switch between before and after, save the ones you like, and run the same photo again in another style to compare.

Photos that work best
- Daylight, with the lights on in dark corners.
- Taken from a corner, so the whole room and its windows are in the shot.
- Tidied first: piles and cables can come back as clutter in the new design.
- One room per photo, level and sharp.
What to avoid
- Treating the result as a shopping list: the furniture is an idea of the style, not products you can order.
- Measuring from the picture — check sizes in the real room before you buy.
- Dark, blurry or very tight shots: there is too little room to design.
