How to make a map animation video

Open Pixly's Map Video in your browser and type the address. The map flies there and builds a short journey: down through the clouds, the city, the street, and a pin on the property. Play it, adjust what you like, and export an MP4. The editor is free; a 1080p export with no watermark needs a free account.

The three steps

  1. 01

    Type the address

Go to pixly.app/tools/map-video and type the property address in the search field. The map moves there; drag the pin onto the exact building if it needs it.

  2. 02

    Play the journey

Press play: the camera dives through the clouds, shows the city, arrives at the street and reveals the pin, nearby streets and markers. Change any stage, its timing, the markers and the map style in the tabs on the left.

  3. 03

    Export the video

Click the export button for a 1080p MP4 with no watermark — it is rendered in your browser, so keep the tab open. Pick vertical 9:16, square 1:1 or 16:9 before you export.

Tips for a location intro that sells the area

  • Add markers for what buyers ask about: the school, the park, the station.
  • Use vertical 9:16 for Reels and Stories, 16:9 for a listing page.
  • Keep it short — a few seconds is enough before the first photo.
  • Check the pin sits on the right building before you export.

What to avoid

  • Too many markers: three or four are easier to read than ten.
  • Exporting on a phone — the export needs desktop Chrome or Edge.
  • Switching tabs during a free export: it pauses the render.
