How to add property lines to drone video
Open Pixly's Drone Video Property Lines in your browser, add the drone clip, and drag the corners of the outline onto the lot on the first frame. Click Track from this keyframe, then Run auto-track: the line is tracked through the clip and stays on the lot as the drone moves. Export it under Export. Drawing and tracking are free to try; the export needs a free account.

The four steps
- 01
Add your drone video
Go to pixly.app/tools/drone-video-property-lines and drop the clip on the page, or click Choose video. MP4, MOV, M4V and WebM work; the first frame is read in your browser.
- 02
Drag the corners onto the lot
An outline appears on the first frame. Drag each corner onto a corner of the property; add or remove corners as the shape needs. It is saved as the first keyframe by itself.
- 03
Track the line
Click Track from this keyframe, then Run auto-track. The clip is analysed and the line follows the lot through every frame. If it drifts somewhere, scrub to that moment, drag the corner back and use Refine with keyframes.
- 04
Export the video
Under Export, click Export final video. The video is exported in your browser with the line on it. Colour, width, fill and a lot-size label are under Style and Label.

Tips for a line that holds
- Short clips track best — keep it under about ten seconds per run.
- Start from a frame where the whole lot is visible.
- Put corners on things the camera can see: fence posts, hedge corners, the edge of a drive.
- Have a still photo instead? The photo tool does it in a minute.
What to avoid
- Presenting the lines as a legal survey — they are drawn by you and are illustrative.
- Very fast or shaky footage: slow, steady passes track better.
- Corners on moving things such as cars or shadows.
