Plan any room

How to plan a room

Set the room's size
Pick Quick rectangle and type the width and depth. For an L-shaped room, draw its corners, then click any wall to type its exact length.

Add doors, windows and furniture
Furniture comes at real sizes, and every piece can be resized to the centimetre, so you see what actually fits. Drag to move, use the handle to turn.

Pick a look and share it
Choose a style, from a clean technical drawing to a realistic one with wood floors, and download the plan as PNG, PDF or SVG.
A 2D planner, drawn to scale
This is a top view drawn to scale, like an architect's plan. It is the quickest way to check whether a sofa, a bed or a table fits, and how much floor is left to walk on. Sizes work in metres or in feet and inches. It does not make 3D renders.

How scanning works
Room planner questions
Is the room planner free?
Yes. Planning is free and open to everyone, with every style and all the furniture. Downloading the plan as PNG, PDF or SVG is free too, with a free Pixly account. No watermark.
Do I have to install anything?
No. The planner runs in your browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. There is also a free iPhone app that measures the room with the camera.
Is it a 3D room planner?
No, it is 2D: a top view drawn to scale. That is what you need to check sizes and clearances, and it is much faster than building a 3D model. For a photo of the furnished room, use Pixly's virtual staging.
Can I use feet and inches?
Yes. Switch the units to feet in the Style tab, and every size is typed and shown in feet and inches.
Is the furniture the right size?
Each piece comes at a typical real size, for example a double bed at 1.6 by 2 metres, and you can type your own width and depth for any piece.
Can I plan a whole flat, not just one room?
Yes. Add rooms next to each other and they share walls. The floor plan creator page covers that, with several floors, stairs and the garden.
