How to turn a property photo into a video

Open Cinematic motion in Pixly's Video AI, pick a camera move — Orbit, Push In, a drone shot and ten more — add one photo and click Create reel. You get a 5-second clip with real depth, as if a camera moved through the room. It costs 8 credits.

The five steps

  1. 01

    Open Cinematic motion

In Pixly, go to Video AI and pick Cinematic motion — it's under Animate.

  2. 02

    Pick a camera move

Nine interior moves and four exterior and drone moves, each tile playing its own preview. Orbit, the pan and Drone Orbit also let you choose the direction.

  3. 03

    Add your photo

One photo or 3D render, inside or outside. Upload it, drag it in or pick it from your library. The video keeps the photo's shape.

  4. 04

    Create the clip

Choose 5 or 10 seconds and click Create reel: 8 credits for 5 seconds, 16 for 10.

  5. 05

    Download your video

The clip lands in Recent and in your Library. Download the MP4 for the listing, a reel or the opening shot of a longer video.

Photos that work best

  • A wide shot with depth — space for the camera to move into.
  • Sharp and level. The camera move keeps what the photo has.
  • Interior moves for rooms, drone moves for an outside shot of the house.
  • One clear subject: the room, the façade, the garden.

What to avoid

  • Tight close-ups: there's no room for the camera to travel.
  • People or pets in the shot — they can move in odd ways.
  • Expecting to see what the photo doesn't show: the camera can't look into the next room.
