Jury Duty Wiki

Jury Duty (1995) is loosely based on TV series Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. Twelve Angry Men was rewritten for the stage in 1964 under the same title: Twelve Angry Men (1963). The teleplay was also adapted for a feature film in 1957 by Sidney Lumet12 Angry Men (1957).

The film was nominated for Most Painfully Unfunny Comedy at the 1995 Stinkers Bad Movie Awards but lost to Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995). Additionally, Pauly Shore "won" a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor.

Critic Roger Ebert said that Pauly Shore was the "cinematic equivalent of long fingernails, drawn very slowly and quite loudly over a gigantic blackboard"
