Stanley Kubrick's Favourite Movies
Nick Wrigley explores Kubrick's favourite films with the help of Kubrick's right-hand man Jan Harlan. The only Kubrick's favourite films list that is known of Kubrick best movies submitted to anyone was in 1963 to a fledgeling American magazine named Cinema. As Harlan told “Stanley would have seriously revised this 1963 list in later years, though Wild Strawberries, Citizen Kane and City Lights would remain, he liked Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V much better than the old and old-fashioned Olivier version.”.
